Travel Training
Southern Highlands Community Transport aims to assist people who are Transport Disadvantaged, access mainstream transport services.
The aim of the project is to expand people’s awareness to a variety of transport options and show people how they can access the types of transport that best suits their individual needs.
Individual needs could include but is not limited to:
- Local and private transport in their area
- Local Buses and Trains
- How to obtain and read a timetable
- Build up confidence to travel independently
The project covers all forms of transport including walking, public buses, trains etc.
The project operates in Bankstown, Camden, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Liverpool, Wingecarribee and Wollondilly.
If a person wants to use this service they do not need to be a client of Southern Highlands Community Transport however they do need to be identified as one or more of the following:
- Transport disadvantaged
- Aged and frail
- People with a disability
